Lethbridge provides education from ECS through to college and university.
Residents can choose from a variety of schools in
the Public, Private and Francophone school systems.
- Public schools are served through
Lethbridge School District
No. 51.
- The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division
operates a number of ECS to Grade 12 "separate" schools in five different communities
(Coaldale, Lethbridge, Picture Butte, Pincher Creek and Taber).
- One of 24 Francophone schools in Alberta,
École La Vérendyre is a Francophone Public Community School servicing Lethbridge and area. The
school offers programs from pre-kindergarten to Grade 12 with
English instruction starting in Grade 3.
- Lethbridge
Community College (LCC) provides over 70
diverse career development and training areas, with one-year
certificate, two-year diploma, apprenticeship, pre-employment and
applied-degree programs.
- The University of Lethbridge
(U of L) is a "liberal arts" institution offering Arts & Science, Education, Fine Arts,
Health Sciences, and Management. Graduate studies are offered
in the areas of arts, management, biotechnology, water management
and bio-products.
Public Library
A member of the
Chinook Arch Regional Library System, the
Lethbridge Public Library provides
physical and online access to information, free use of computers for word processing and internet/email access free of
charge and provides excellent theatre and community meeting room space.
